AWANA has begun!  And we have had a lot of fun so far!  Don’t miss out!
AWANA is based on an acrostic (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed) suggested by the King James Version translation of 2 Timothy 2:15…”Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana establishes welcoming, supportive environments where kids, from every background and cultural setting, learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives. First Baptist is currently offering the following clubs: Cubbies for 3-5 years old (preschool), Sparks for Kindergarten – 2nd Grade, and T&T (Truth and Training) for 3rd – 6th Grade. These clubs will meet every Thursday evening. Parents must register their child on the first night. Forms are also available in the church office.
The cost of the program is a weekly due of $1/child per meeting. However, because First Baptist does not want any child to miss out on Awana because of financial hardship, scholarships are available.
